Things I seem to be able to eat:
  • brown rice
  • rice noodles/vermicelli
  • edamame, well steamed
  • green beans, same
  • carrots, same
  • peas, same
  • broccoli, same, in small quantities
  • bananas
  • pears
  • rice cakes
  • digestive biscuits
  • bread, soft and whole grain
  • yogurt
  • cottage cheese
  • miso
  • tofu, so long as it's neither friend nor seasoned
  • miso/soy sauce, in small quantities
  • fish, white or salmon, 2-4 oz servings
  • nori, soaked in broth
  • cheese, in small quantities, with rice
  • canned peaches, not in syrup

I am not someone who has even been a calorie counter or turned down a chocolate croissant. I'm usually a pretty healthy eater, but this is madness. I want wine, steak, and chocolate. I miss garlic and peppers more than I ever thought possible. I lie in bed and think I can feel my skeleton reaching out of me. Beware: I think there's a decent chance I might end up with some kind of werewolf-like disorder where I roam the streets when the moon is full, hunting for fat and flavour.
